The ALFA NSF-Approved GS-22 Grater-Shredder is a premium aftermarket alternative to the Hobart VS9, designed for use on the power hubs of mixers, choppers, and power drives. This complete unit includes a housing, door, pusher plate, and disk holder with a 3/16" shredder plate, with additional shredder plate options available. Constructed from heavy-gauge polished aluminum, the GS-22 is built for durability and precision, fitting size #22 Hobart-compatible power hubs (a #12 version is also available). Engineered with hardened shafts machined to close tolerances, it delivers exceptional performance and reliability. Easy to disassemble and clean, the GS-22 is compatible with Classic Hobart, Legacy Hobart, Globe, Univex, Varimixer, Precision, Thunderbird, and Intedge mixers. It easily converts to a VS-22 by replacing the VS-22DH Disk Holder with ALFA's VS-22KDS Slicer Knife Assembly. With a shaft diameter of 3/4", it is ideal for 140-quart mixers and some older 80-quart models (verify diameter to ensure compatibility). Backed by a 6-month warranty, this unit must be hand-washed, as dishwasher use may seize the unit and void the warranty.
